My aunt & uncle used to come here, so we decided to try it! Fantastic food, noteworthy service and overall great! When my husband comes back to Winnemucca for work, I'll be coming just to have dinner again!

This is the only five star restaurant in Winnemucca. The other Basque restaurant is the McDnald's of Basque. Chicken fried steak you can cut with a fork even the leftovers are better than the other place the next day. They know how to make a good martini and a good old fashioned. Had chicken fried steak at the other Basque restaurant was mystery meat and held together with cartilage and fat. This restaurant has the atmosphere the service fun and polite servers. Photo is leftovers of chicken fried steak the dogs wouldn't even eat the chicken fried steak from the other restaurant

Every time I'm in the area I stop and get the same lamb chop dinner, this time arrived in town late hence the take out. I'm never disappointed.

We were passing through on our way from Oregon to Colorado and stopped in not knowing what to expect. We were surprised and impressed; the food was VERY good, the service was great and the drinks were perfect. I was also impressed by the fact that they have decor that features plenty of fabric, which deadens some of the noise; one of the few places I've dined at that didn't sound like bedlam when there are many diners. Although the place was pretty full, we had a lovely, reasonably quiet, romantic diner. I would unhesitatingly recommend it. We would (and expect to) eat there again during future excursions.

Passing through town, hungry and tired.. this place was a welcome blessing!!! Wow, the wait staff is beautiful! Literally! The food comes piping hot, huge portions and is truly delicious!! We had the Pollo Esparragosa- variety of chicken, pasta, asparagus and sun dried tomatoes in sherry sauce. The chicken fried steak and mash potatoes- fried coating was especially savory. The halibut was fresh as if we were sea side!! I'm not kidding!! Then, we ordered the chocolate cake and it was warm and melted in your mouth moist!! To top off the whole night, they had Butter Chardonnay, which is my favorite!! Lastly, great country 90s soundtrack playing at a perfect volume! Highly recommended

Just don't spend too much time chatting at the bar and miss ordering the prime rib. Hopefully I'll be able to return someday because it looked fabulous! The ribeye stand in was fabulous!

Service, food and ambiance were all excellent. I was surprised to find such a nice place in Winnemucca, but it is there. I didn't think it was particularly Basque, but it was excellent.
